The Financial Counselling Network is a partnership of not-for-profit community service organisations and local government across the Perth metropolitan region who provide advice, assistance and education to people experiencing financial hardship.

The aim of the Network is to provide a range of integrated and person centred services with the aim of reducing the drivers and impacts of financial hardship in the Western Australian community. We adopt a systems based approach to maximise our impact.

The Financial Counsellors’ Association of WA (FCAWA) was incorporated in 1985 and the primary objectives are to establish, monitor and improve standards for financial counsellors in Western Australia. FCAWA is unique as the peak body to support financial counsellors and their clients through education, information, resources, and relevant legal support.

National Debt Helpline is a not-for-profit service that helps people tackle their debt problems. We’re not a lender and we don’t ‘sell’ anything or make money from you. Our professional financial counsellors offer a free, independent and confidential service.

If you call you may have to leave your name and contact number and they will get back to you, usually within 15 minutes.

Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation connecting people all over Western Australia with information and services so they can make independent and informed decisions.

ReachOut is Australia’s leading online mental health organisation for young people and their parents. Our practical support, tools and tips help young people get through anything from everyday issues to tough times – and the information we offer parents makes it easier for them to help their teenagers, too.

The Suicide Prevention Public Education Program’s Think Mental Health Campaign is a key initiative of the State-wide suicide prevention strategy, Suicide Prevention 2020: Together we can save lives (the Strategy), under Action Area One - Greater public awareness and united action across the community.

The Think Mental Health education campaign is part of a comprehensive approach in Western Australia that aims to build mental health and wellbeing and reduce mental health issues with view to reducing Western Australia’s suicide rate. It supports other initiatives to prevent and reduce suicide in Western Australia.

It contains real time search results of emergency relief services, with phone numbers, operating hours, and directions on the services available. WAConnect was originally called ERConnect. We changed our name to better reflect what we offer in mid 2020.

Users can search for food relief, financial counsellors, and emergency accommodation, among other services, and get a list of services that can provide assistance in the location that is convenient. WAConnect is a free directory for service providers, and people looking for assistance.
